We all know Palm Springs for the Coachella Festival, which gathers every year thousands of people. But hey, good news! If you happen to visit California outside of April (the month of the festival), there are still really cool things to do in Palm Springs! Here’s my top 5:
Have a walk on Palm Canyon Drive, the main street of the city
It’s like going back in time (and I am not talking about the average age of Palm Springs residents…). The architecture of the city hasn’t changed since the fifties, when Sinatra and Monroe made this city their peaceful retreat from Los Angeles.
Have a drink in one of the trendy hotels of the city
Saguaro Hotel, Ace Hotel, Parker…those hotels attract those who want to party by the pool or are looking for a little getaway for the week-end, 365 days a year since the temperature rarely go below 75 degrees in the Winter.
Hike in the Indian Canyons
Between natural oasis, mountains and desert, the Indian Canyons are a MUST-DO things of your list if you visit Palm Springs!

Treat yourself with some yummy French food
I HAD to put this French place on my top 5. Not because it’s French, trust me there’s a lot of French places I’ve been to in LA which I would never write about, because I am ashamed they call themselves French. But Charlotte and Raphael, the founders of l’Atelier Café, gave me a little taste of my country (and little is an euphemism since I buy everything every time I pass by: croissants, macaroons, pains au chocolat, French wine…). The best remedy when I feel a little homesick!
Go nuts in the Desert Hills Premium Outlets:
Whaaaat? You still haven’t read my post about the Palm Springs outlets? Catch up quickly, your wallet will thank me (or not…). From Levi’s to Saint Laurent, this place gathers hundreds of designers with very, very, very big discounts.
Little reminder of my last shopping session there: Marni sandals and Saint-Laurent pants, for less than $150.
