6 Must-See Places in Ibiza

It almost hurts to look at these pictures, almost 2 months after our trip to Ibiza. Not that we don’t have the sun, the beach and the parties here in LA, but Ibiza has some extraordinary landscapes. Thanks to a lot of friends who shared their favorite spots with us, we got to explore the entire island on our little scooter (the best way to do it). Forget about the clubs, the best part of Ibiza is below.

TAKE A WALK INTO THE OLD CITY IN EIVISSA

Make sure you grab a drink and some tapas at S’Escalinata, this cool bar in the stairs of the old city, inside the castle. Awesome view and great Sangria.

GO NORTH TO BENIRRAS BEACH

If you’re hunting unique, paradise beaches, you don’t wanna miss this place. Not only is it removed from everything (it’s in the North of the Island, where most tourists don’t go), but the view is spectacular; the most braves will rent a boat and go the giant rock (above), to climb it and dive. And yes, the hero you see standing on the rock is my man. So proud :-). Also, this beach has a really cool restaurant called Elements with yummy salads.

LOVE AT AMANTE BEACH

Amante beach is so tiny, so hidden, so beautiful that you almost don’t wanna give the address and keep it for yourself. Located on the East side of the island, it’s the perfect spot for lovers.

BOAT TO FORMENTERA

Most people will tell you that Formentera is Ibiza’s wild little sister. They’re not wrong. Go there for the day (it’s a 30 min boat trip from Eivissa) and enjoy the small creeks, preserved beaches of the island. My favorite beaches were Platja de Ses Illetes, in the North, a small piece of land surrounded on both side by the sea, and Es Calo de Sant Agusti, in the South-East.

Oh, and if you REALLY want to treat yourself, try the fresh lobster Paella from Juan y Andrea. It hurts a little to pick the lobster you will eat, but once it’s in your plate…no hard feelings.

WATCH THE SUNSET AT KASBAH CAFÉ

Because it’s really an amazing spot. But don’t take the tacos, it’s not really tacos. We’re still trying to figure out what it was actually.

WATCH THE SUNSET (AGAIN) AT EXPERIMENTAL BEACH

Experimental beach is a cool spot in the South of the Island, set right in heart of the Ses Salines salt flats. Like most of trendy places, they can be a little uptight (long story, not worth telling) but I still recommend the place for the original landscape, especially for sunset.

Voilà…only 10 months to go before my next holidays, and I still gotta decide where we’ll go. Any suggestion?
