Effortless chic…this is how most people describe the Parisian style, and I think this outfit is a good illustration of just that. I had a crush on Topshop’s tapered pants selection, inspired by the men’s wardrobe, and especially for the model I am wearing, which is high-waisted to add a touch of femininity. Ideal to wear with an oversize shirt and to complete this very Parisian look, derbies .
I love to decorate my home with white details: my furniture, carpets, sheets, Christmas tree… are white, and if I did not have a baby my couch would probably be white too. But hey, can you blame me for changing my mind after I saw this apartment’s decoration, where black is the dominant color, on Oracle Fox?
We’re already in December…it’s so hard to believe, this year went so fast for me! It’s this time of the year when we start thinking of our holiday style, right? Glitter, party dresses, sparkles…I’ve never been good at dressing for a party, since I am not a fan of the sexy-show off outfits, and I wanna believe that holiday styles can also be classy and minimal.
If there’s one thing I will remember about my first Black Friday, it’s that there’s so much to buy in such a short time. So, if like me, you feel a little overwhelmed with all those great discounts we get after Thanksgiving, here’s my suggestion of pieces to shop to match the season’s trends.
Thursday will be my first Thanksgiving in the USA, which I am very excited about!
But it also means that Friday will be my very first Black Friday, THE day every fashionista is waiting for all year long! Since I heard everybody gets a little cuckoo this day, I had to get ready for it and prepared my wish-list on the websites who already propose great discounts for the holiday. My favorites with a SALES category starting now are Topshop, Shopbop, Mango, and even Net-à-Porter where I found Chloé Bags on sales!
Since the 70’s style is all the rage, let’s get inspired by one of my favorite fashion icon from this period, Jane Birkin. She was rocking the minimal and chic style like no one, and one of her favorite piece was the high-waisted and flared pants. What do you think?
What do you like about Winter? Personally, people often think I am crazy (or provocative), because I hate the fact that there are no cold days in Los Angeles. I miss the Parisian’s Winter, when you drink your hot coffee in the morning next to your electric heater (which burns your skin 9 times out ot ten), wrap yourself in giant scarves, try all the different soups from the supermarket and spend your Sundays in bed watching Netflix…no, I am not afraid of the cold, because I looove to fight it using layers to keep me warm. Give me a cable knit sweater over an oversize shirt, and I am ready to face the Winter. Talking about cable knit, have you noticed how it’s everywhere this season? From the chunky and XXL version to the skin-tight model, here’s my selection of the trendiest cable knit sweaters of the season (my favorite is the Topshop one, what’s yours?)
