How To Layer Your Summer Dresses For Fall

And-Other-Stories-Fashion-Blogger-Los-Angeles

Don’t pack up your Summer clothes yet…find a way to layer them. This red pleated dress from Maje has been one of my favorite outfits since the Summer 2016 (I was showing it for the first time on the blog in this Summer outfit last year). As  you might have noticed on my Instagram, I have this thing with red this Fall (which is ironic because I keep writing about how much I love neutral outfits), so I tried to find a way to transition this vibrant red pleated dress into Fall. I had seen several bloggers pulling off killer outfits with oversized sweaters over pleated skirts with sneakers, but honestly, it looked pretty bad on me. Because I am petite, it just looked liked I was “drowning” in my clothes, and it made me look even smaller.  See, I like to follow some trends or be bold, but I can’t wear something if I consider that it is not flattering on me.  I guess this is where my ‘fashion victim’ limit is. So here’s my (oh so simple) trick: I used a large belt to highlight my waist, put some ankle boots with heels to lengthen the silhouette …et voilà!
