While everybody is preparing for Coachella in LA, I took a trip to Palm Springs last weekend, enjoying the calm before the big storm of the music festival. This place can be so peaceful and breathtaking! We shot this gorgeous Fabric Hunted and Collected ikat striped jumpsuit at the bottom of the mountains, and in the Mirage House, an art installation by Doug Aitken that overlooks Palm Springs and the desert, and takes the form of a mirrored ranch house.
About Fabric Hunted and Collected: I already introduced the brand several times, here, there and there. You can tell that I am a big fan of this designer, who discovers and showcases the finest handwoven textiles in India and Nepal, commits to sustainability and supports talented local artisans. As for the style, Gabrielle, creator of the brand, brillantly mixes elegance, tradition and boho-chic. This jumpsuit is made of Ikat, a traditional handwoven textile (it’s not a print): hours of artisanal work and traditional craft go into making this kind of piece. It’s unique, precious, and fits absolutely perfectly (well that’s what I think I’ll let you judge by the pictures!)
