Just when I thought that the leopard trend was over, the new Fall collections are packed with animal prints. Silk leopard skirts started popping all over my Instagram feed in August. Then I spotted the catty pattern on floaty blouses, flat shoes or boots, dresses…to indulge your animal instinct. Sometimes the print was revamped using new colors (red leopard with Maje for instance), but most of the time designers have embraced the tawny yellow pattern. So did I: to transition from Summer to Fall, I chose this leopard mid-skirt from And Other Stories. Living in Los Angeles, I still have weeks of Summer weather to wear it with a simple black tank or a bodysuit, and when temperatures will cool off, it will also work with a chunky sweater and boots.
Note to self/ things to try: mixing prints is the new cool. Let’s be bold in the future and mix or layer animal prints with checks, gingham, stripes, dots…what do you guys think?
