While everybody is preparing for Coachella in LA, I took a trip to Palm Springs last weekend, enjoying the calm before the big storm of the music festival. This place can be so peaceful and breathtaking! We shot this gorgeous Fabric Hunted and Collected ikat striped jumpsuit at the bottom of the mountains, and in the Mirage House, an art installation by Doug Aitken that overlooks Palm Springs and the desert, and takes the form of a mirrored ranch house.
Alright, so this is another post about my trip to Tulum, but this time I am talking about food! I was really surprised by the quality of food everywhere we went, wether it was a well-known restaurant or a small caban by the beach. Most of the touristic destinations I’ve been to are usually full of places that offer you overpriced local specialties with a really poor food quality, but we really had a culinary blast in Tulum. Don’t get me wrong, the food did not impress us by its originality: we had ceviches, shrimps tacos, fish almost every day…but the quality, the freshness, the seasoning made every dish a real pleasure to eat. Way better than the Mexican food we’re used to eat in LA! I’ve listed below the 5 best food spots in Tulum.
Ask anybody: I am known for traveling with way more stuff than I need. But for my trip to Tulum, I went left and only brought 2 pair of shorts, swimsuits (counting as tops too), one dress and this super cute twisted blouse from storets. So this is basically the outfit I’ve been living in for a week!
I finally took the time to sort out my pictures from my trip to Tulum, Mexico. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was there on holidays at the end of January (I’ve posted dozens of pictures of white sand beaches and transparent water that you must have hated me for ;-). I’ll talk more about Tulum in my next post (coming ASAP), but right now I wanted to introduce you to Albertine Swim, a French swimwear designer that I’ve always loved for its original, versatile and very fashionable line, to wear at the beach or to style with your Summer shorts, dresses or skirts. This particular one-piece is currently on sale, go check our their eshop!
It almost hurts to look at these pictures, almost 2 months after our trip to Ibiza. Not that we don’t have the sun, the beach and the parties here in LA, but Ibiza has some extraordinary landscapes. Thanks to a lot of friends who shared their favorite spots with us, we got to explore the entire island on our little scooter (the best way to do it). Forget about the clubs, the best part of Ibiza is below.
When it comes to visit Barcelona, there are the inescapable touristic spots such as Las Ramblas, el Barrio Gotico, el Park Guell (worth seeing, don’t get me wrong)…but the Spanish city is full of new cool and modern spots to explore. We tried 4 of them during our trip to Spain last month:
As promised, here are some pictures of my weekend at Coachella. Not the best pics, since I did not take my camera, but it will give you a pretty good idea of the experience.
I do have a special relationship with L.A.X.. My husband and I met on a flight between Paris and L.A.X. (true story). We basically had our first date here, and our first good-bye too. I remember walking with him, in the Tom Bradley terminal, reluctant to say good-bye, pushing to the maximum the moment I will have to go through security and give him a last kiss.
We all know Palm Springs for the Coachella Festival, which gathers every year thousands of people. But hey, good news! If you happen to visit California outside of April (the month of the festival), there are still really cool things to do in Palm Springs! Here’s my top 5:
When you’re a blogger, it’s impossible to go to Palm Springs and not stop by the Saguaro hotel to snap a picture of its colorful and cool 70’s architecture.
Snap a picture…it’s a mild word, I did a whole photoshoot of the place! And also quick pictures of my outfit of the day, something as light as possible considering the current heatwave in California, especially in the Coachella Valley.
